Vadie Ellen Fleming Gregory, 101, of Akron, Ohio, died Sunday, March 3, 2002.
She was born at Canaan, April 7, 1900, the daughter of the late William H. and Recie Sines Fleming.
She was married to Cecil B. Gregory, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Harley B. and Arlene Gregory of Ohio; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one brother, Glen Fleming of Florida.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gladys Sharp; and one brother, Hubbard Fleming.
Mrs. Gregory was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Robert M. Vincent Funeral Home, French Creek Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Godwin officiating at Eden United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from noon to 1 p.m., the funeral hour.
