Violet Elizabeth Swecker Ware Jack, 94, a resident of Dailey, WV passed away July 6, 2012 at the Elkins Regional Care Center in Elkins, WV. Violet was born April 17, 1918 at Valley Head, WV, a daughter of the late Adam and Blaine Swecker. On December 25, 1986, she was united in marriage to Dean Jack, who survives in Dailey, WV. Also surviving, are one daughter Rena Sanders, one son Phillip Ware and wife Sandra, all of Orange City, FL., two stepsons, Clark ‘Buzz’ Jack and wife Faye of Dailey, WV, Windel Jack and wife Barbara of Huttonsville, WV, three stepdaughters Charlotte Wendorf and husband Ed of Homer, MI, Doris Sharp and husband Claude of Marlinton, WV, and Shirley Jack of Dumfries, VA. Violet was Grandma Vi to seven granddaughters, twelve grandsons, twelve great granddaughters, sixteen great grandsons and one great great grandson in the combined families. She was preceded in death by husband Frank Ware, one brother, Elliott Swecker, three sisters, Viola Little, Mona Swecker and Leila Swecker, one son-in-law, Bill Sanders and one stepson, Dennis Jack. Violet attended the schools of Randolph County and worked in food service for over 40 years in WV and VA, owning and operating the Arcade in Clarksburg, WV for a time. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, garage sales and auctions looking for a bargain and adding to her collection of salt and pepper shakers. Violet was a Methodist by faith. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care given at the Elkins Regional Care Center and especially all the hospice staff of Elkins. Visitation for Violet will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home, 100 Meadow Lane, Valley Bend, WV, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., the funeral hour. The Reverend William Lanham will officiate. Interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with the arrangements for Violet Elizabeth Jack.
