Virginia Mae “Toots” McGill 1934-2020 Obituary
Virginia Mae “Toots” McGill, 86, of Meadville, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020, at Meadville Medical Center.
Toots was born in Meadville, on January 16, 1934, the youngest of ten children of the late Andrew and Etta (Zickefoose) Zirkle.
On June 17, 1965 she married Charles McGill; he died May 3, 2010.
Toots was a graduate of Saegertown High School. She had been employed by the former Ohio Rubber, Conneautville. Later she established Saegertown Day Care where she provided child care for many children. She was an avid BINGO player and loved every moment spent at the family campground in Camp Wilhelm.
Toots is survived by four children Bonita Allen (George) of Conneaut Lake, Donald Henry (Rhonda) of Conneautville, Ronald “Mike” Henry (Valerie) of Meadville, Larry Henry (Tammy) of Conneautville, three step children Bonnie McGill of Conneaut Lake, Lauri Galentine of Stoneboro, Robin Patrick of VA, 12 grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 18 step great grandchildren, a sister Margaret Koehler of Saegertown, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters Elva Thompson, Ruth Koehler, Bernice Kirkwood, five brothers Bob, Arthur, Howard, Dorman and Dowden Zirkle
Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2010, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Bobin officiating.
Toots will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.
