Wanda Arlene Jones, 47, a resident of 314 S. Main St., Philippi, died Saturday, May 26, 2002, in United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late John Franklin and Virginia Scheuvront Jones.
Survivors include two brothers, Junior Scheuvront, Lost Creek, and Freddie Jones, McWhorter; one sister, Wilma Barth, Clarksburg; three nephews, Glen Barth, Steven Barth and Mark Jones; two nieces, Jenny Barth and Sharon Jones; and one stepdaughter, Patricia Buckingham, Rowlesburg.
She was preceded in death by her fiance, Edwin Lee McCartney.
Friends may call at Stemple & Forman Funeral Home in Philippi from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery.
