Warner Kenneth “Bud” Wegman, 66, of Hendersonville, N.C., died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, in the Elizabeth House of Flat Rock, N.C.
He was a native of Randolph County, a son of the late Jacob French Wegman and Monnie Wiseman Wegman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1973 after serving for more than 20 years. He was a resident of Huttonsville, before moving to Hendersonville in 2000. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Norma Bender Wegman of Hendersonville; three sons, Warner Kenneth Wegman Jr., James L. Teeter and Michael Lewellyn; nine daughters, Melody Wegman, Robin Bieder, Cherry Paul, Pam Coccia, Kim Welch, Amber Howell, Vicky Wegman, Angela McKey and Christina Welch; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly; one brother, Richard Wegman of Adolph; and three sisters, Bessie Teter of Elkins, Flosie Louk, Petersburg, Va., and Carrie Rachel Arbogast of Norton.
A funeral service with military rites was held at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of the Western Carolina Veterans State Cemetery at Black Mountain, N.C. Interment followed the service. The Rev.
