Wilbur Stephen McNeal, 51, a resident of Culpeper County, Va., passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at his home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1951, in Upshur County, the son of Wilbur and Doris McNeal, who survive at Helvetia.
He was married to Martha Rose H. McNeal, who survives at Culpeper County, Va.
Also surviving are four brothers, Coy McNeal, Valley Bend, Phillip McNeal, Oak Hill, Carl McNeal, Buffalo, and Jeff McNeal, Helvetia; and three sisters, Patricia McNeal, Stephens City, Va., Dorothy Greenway, Helvetia, and Hedy Housel, Sistersville.
Mr. McNeal was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from November 1968 until November 1971. He was a pipeline foreman for 20 years and was self-employed for 10 years.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 2, 2002, at the McNeal Family Cemetery near Helvetia. Rev. Fr. Roy Schuster officiated and interment followed. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, Va., 22701, in memory of Mr. McNeal. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Wilbur Stephen McNeal.
