Willard Lea Weaver, 89, of Route 3, Grafton, died Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2002, in the Beulahland Personal Care Home, Grafton, following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 7, 1912, at Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Ira Ware and the late Grace Simons Linger
On Aug. 25, 1928, she was married to Troy W. Weaver, who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1990.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John (Janet) Smerka, Morgantown, Mrs. Karl (Rosalie) Poe, with whom she had made her home, and Inis Adcock, Woonsocket, R.I.; one sister, Virgie Crites, whose whereabouts are unknown; one half sister, Lillian Dean, Buckhannon; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Wilson Mouser.
Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker. She was a member of Arden United Methodist Church and the Arden United Methodist Ladies Aid. She was loved by all who knew her.
Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home in Philippi from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Michael Brown will officiate and interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery.
