William Andrew Sharp, 79, a resident of Mingo, passed from this life on Monday morning, March 19, 2012 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. He was born Wednesday, September 28, 1932 in Mingo, a son of the late Roy Sharp and Mary Crummitt Sharp. On December 28, 1950 in Lewisburg, he married the former Josephine Sage who preceded him in death on June 12, 2001. They had enjoyed fifty years of marriage. Surviving is his son, Rick Sharp and wife, Becky, and grandchildren: A.J. Sharp of Mingo, Blair Campbell and husband, Charlan, of Hillsboro, Carrie Logan Short of Nagshead N.C., two great grandchildren: Penelope Jo Campbell and Oliver Sage Campbell, both of Hillsboro. Also surviving are Virgil Moore and wife, Jean, of Mingo, Kim Bodkins and husband, Ronnie, and son Derrick, of Mingo, and Angie Arbogast and husband, Gary, and son Tim, and daughter Kelsey, all of Valley Head, and special friend, Beatrice Ball. Besides his parents and wife, Andrew was preceded in death by an infant brother. Andrew was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School, was a farmer, and a bus driver for the Randolph County Schools for thirty-four years. He was a member of Riverside Lodge 124, A.F. & A.M. of Cass, the Beverly Chapter 23, Royal Arch Masons, the Pilgrim Commandry 21, the Osiris Shrine Temple of Wheeling, and the Tygarts Valley Shrine Club. Andrew’s request for cremation was honored. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for William Andrew Sharp.
