OBITUARY: WINIFRED E. MARSH Winifred Ellen Marsh, 83, of Rt. #1, Moatsville, died Wednesday, February 17, at the Broaddus Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born September 15, 1926, at Rural Valley, Penn., a daughter of the late Richard and Beulah Charlotte (Jewel) Ball. Her husband, Kennedy Fay Marsh, preceded her in death on March 26, 1974. Survivors include, one son, Kenneth Allen Marsh and wife, Joyce, Nestorville; four daughters, Beverly Shultz, Fairmont, Charlotte Long and husband Thomas, Berlin, Jackie Marsh, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Beth Ann Fulmer and husband, Larry, Katy, Tex.; two step-daughters, Velma Wilson and husband, Denver, Buckhannon, Jean Kelley and husband, Paul, Bridgeport; a step daughter-in-law, Brenda Marsh, Navarre, Oh.; one brother, “Butch” Ball, Rural Valley, Penn., three sisters, Beverly Sue Yount, Ford City, Penn., Janet Stover, Kittanning, Penn., Margaret Beers, Worthington, Penn.; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, twelve step-great grandchildren and five step-great great grandchildren. Mrs. Marsh was also preceded in death by a step-son, Jack Dewayne Marsh; by two sisters, “Honey” and Louella; and by two brothers, “Bud” and Bob Ball. She was a retired cook and nurses aid and was a former employee of the Broaddus Hospital, Alderson – Broaddus College and the Memorial General Hospital. Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Nestorville United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Rebekah Lodge at Philippi. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 20, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Dot Smith Stewart will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, the funeral hour, on Saturday.
