Zenith Model MS-125 Integrated Stereo Service Manual – 1991
I ended up owning this Zenith MS-125 Integrate Stereo with Tuner, Graphic Equilizer and Dual Cassette Tape Deck – Dated 1991
The system is a single unit, although the front panel is made to look like seperate components in a stack – it has an input in the back for a record playing unit, but one is not included
It did not fully work, the radio could tune and play, but no frequency display – so I ordered the service manual – very hard to find and a little expensive – so I decided to scan it and make it available online
I spent a little time checking out the system, It appears the LCD driver chip is not working – the chips are PLLC, and not easily replaceable – not really a modular design, there is one main board right behind the front panel that controls all of the individual units on the front panel
This is the ony MS-125 I’ve seen, but if I did find another MS-125 for the sysem board, I’d be better off using the 2nd system and junking this one, the main system board is the heart of the system
The unit uses very large scale integrated chips – and lots of special purpose chips – quite a change for me from working on tube radios and simple QRP radios
The system has a great sound, even into cheap speakers – I’m trying to find allegro speakers to use with the system
Very little information is found online about this system in terms of specifications and what speakers actually came with the system
I’ll be updating this page as I find new information
I have found Zenith Allegro 1000 and Allegro 2000 Speakers sets that I use with this system and another Zenith Stereo, I will post more information on a dedicated page for each speaker set
I found a set of Zenith Allegro 3000 Speakers at a reasonable price, but the shipping for prohibitively expensive so I’m still searching for a reasonable priced set

What’s the phone port for on the front?
That jack is for headphones
